Core Characteristics

Author-Centrality

We accord paramount importance to authors as the nucleus driving the evolution of our publishing institution. This author-centric ethos permeates every facet of our publishing process. We furnish authors with a submission system tailored to their needs, a rigorous peer-review mechanism, and an exhaustive suite of services encompassing publication and information dissemination. Our overarching aim is to ensure that every contributor encounters a professional, expedient, and gratifying submission experience.

Consequently, we furnish an invaluable impetus to the advancement of the academic milieu.

Whether emergent academics or seasoned researchers, each author is afforded an equitable platform for substantive dialogue within our ambit. We venerate each painstakingly nurtured scholarly contribution and aspire to furnish an unwavering scholarly exchange platform that nurtures researchers across all generational strata in their scholarly endeavours.

Gender and Diversity pledge

Published: July 21, 2021

We pledge to our all journals:
  • We're committed: we put diversity and inclusion at the heart of our activities
  • We champion change: we're working to increase the percentage of women, early career researchers and researchers from the Global South as editorial board members
  • We're inclusive: we strive to build an inclusive environment where everyone will flourish
  • We're accountable: we've set a goal for 40%-60% female-male board members by the end of 2023

The above pledge sits within EWA Publishing's broader ongoing diversity and inclusion efforts. Equity and inclusion in publishing is critically important for scientific excellence and innovation. We believe passionately in the power of an inclusive publishing environment, not only to do what is right, but to enrich, strengthen and advance us all. We look forward to working towards our goals together with all members of the community of all journals.
